The Holy Town of Pushkar

Nestled in the heart of the Aravalli Range in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Pushkar is an ancient town steeped in legend, spirituality, and cultural significance. Believed to be one of the oldest existing cities in India, Pushkar is revered as a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and is renowned for its serene lake, vibrant bazaars, and centuries-old temples.

At the center of Pushkar lies the tranquil Pushkar Lake, considered one of the most sacred lakes in India. According to Hindu mythology, the lake was created by Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe, and is surrounded by over fifty ghats where pilgrims perform ritualistic ablutions and prayers.

The town is dotted with numerous temples, each holding its own religious and architectural significance. The Brahma Temple, dedicated to Lord Brahma, is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to this deity and attracts devotees from far and wide.

Pushkar is also famous for its busy bazaars and it’s colourful and vibrant textiles.  It is our hub in Rajasthan, where many of our producers are based. Having many producers in our place makes it easier for us to work together and it cuts down on  unneccesary clothes miles.

. The town is known throughout India & beyond, for the Pushkar Camel Fair, a colorful and vibrant festival that showcases Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and attracts thousands of visitors and traders from across the globe.
